Joy & Darren’s wedding at Old St Pauls and The Boatshed

“You… make me better”

Here is Joy & Darren’s amazing story of their wedding day on film. It was such a fantastic day for a wedding. Wellington really did turn on an stunning summer’s day for a walk through the Botanical Gardens. Wow, these two can really dance too! I think they are the envy of brides and grooms everywhere who want to impress people with a memorable first dance at the end of the night. Joy & Darrens wedding day had some classic and very honest speeches which have helped to tell their lovely story. The lyrics of the song by Marie Hines that they’ve chosen also work perfectly in harmony with the cinematic shots. The day started at The Duxton Hotel where the girls got ready, before their grand ceremony at Old St Pauls. The photographer Mary Sylvia took the bridal party on a lovely little walk through the Botanic Gardens before heading back to The Boatshed for the reception dinner, speeches and partying!

Thanks Joy & Darren for trusting me to tell your wedding story on film.

Christie & Seda’s Boatshed Wedding

Christie & Seda were married by the Soundshell at the Wellington Botanic Gardens on Friday and had their ceremony at the Boatshed on the Wellington Waterfront surrounded by 100 of their closest friends and family.

They were so much fun to shoot, it’s easy to get great photos of a couple in love and these two were both so happy on the day. They also opted for a first look so they could get the photos out of the way before the ceremony in order to spend more time with their guests in the evening. There are so many stunning photos of their day it was hard to narrow down the selection for their preview.

Katy & John got married

Here is a little preview of Katy & John’s wedding in Wellington at Kaitoke Regional Park. One of the first photos that Katy wanted was of her 3 yr old daughter Millie trying on her Mum’s wedding dress. This is surely a photograph that will come out years from now at her 21st. The whole wedding day was relaxed and chilled affair. Katy had spent countless hours planning and preparing her wedding details and even made her own wedding cake complete with all of her family iced on top. I love the little figure of John having taken a fall off his mountain bike riding a steep trail down the cake. Congrats Katy, John & family!
