AIPP ~ The Event
In October this year Jen and I headed over to Adelaide in South Australia to attend a photography conference. A couple of days before it started we took some time to play tourist and went on a day trip to the infamous Barossa Valley, well known for its amazing red wine! We also got to use the free city bikes to ride around the city and check out the other local highlights.
‘The Event’ is the annual photography conference for photography geeks like me :) It’s a four day affair with heaps of workshops and speakers across a whole range of photography disciplines. I got to listen in to some very talented and experienced photographers from not just Australia but all over the globe.
Some personal highlights included getting to attend a Sue Bryce workshop as well as listening to Canadian guy called Jesh De Rox who talked about what lights his fire. Jesh blew me away with his approach to photography and taught me some stuff that I’d love to include in the way I approach both weddings and family portraits. There were some really practical posing and lighting courses too.
Overall, I thought attenting The Event was well worth the trip and I hope to be back next year to learn more about what exciting things the wedding industry is up to in Australia. Here are a couple of snaps…
